Dr Sarah Cameron is a fully qualified and registered osteopath after completing her 5-year double degree in Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT University.
Sarah’s motivation to become an osteopath was driven by her own personal experiences following sporting injuries, which lead her to an interest in health and the human body. Growing up, Sarah was involved in sports, playing state-level tennis, athletics and dancing. After receiving a whole body approach treatment, Sarah could see a significant improvement in her injuries. Due to this approach and the results it produced, motivated Sarah to pursue a career as an osteopath.
Throughout university Sarah worked for 4 years for a local AFL club as a sports trainer. Through this she has gained knowledge on the prevention, treatment and management of sporting injuries. This also gave her an appreciation for acute injury management and the pressures on athletes to be able to return to sport.
Sarah believes in addressing the underlying causes of injuries to prevent their reoccurrence and tailoring treatments to the patient’s specific needs and goals. Sarah is passionate about achieving positive health outcomes by combining manual therapy and physical activity. Sarah also holds a certification in myofascial dry needling and cupping.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves the beach and enjoys travelling.
